The AGWS brokered services continue to provide bi-lingual and bi-cultural care and support to carers and care recipients of Greek-speaking backgrounds. The service has been effective in meeting the growing demand from mainstream service providers for in-home and community-based support services to assist individuals to remain living independently within the community.

In the last financial year the service was able to secure 22 formal agreements with a range of peak aged and disability providers across the Melbourne metropolitan area and delivered in excess of 9,500 hours of service. With its growing workforce capacity the organisation has expanded its service scope to include personal care, home care, in-home and recreational respite and is currently supporting individuals with a range of complex care needs. The challenges presented through the process of managing the complexity of care within a quality and risk management framework have been at the forefront of the unit’s strategic planning and service delivery considerations.
